5, 2006, Kodak Philippines – Realizing the growing threat
of breast cancer particularly in the Philippines, Eastman
Kodak Company Philippines partners with the East Avenue Medical
Center-based Philippine Foundation for Breast Care Inc. in
promoting awareness on this deadly disease. With the joint
vision of supporting breast cancer prevention through awareness,
Kodak aims to give women a better picture of life.
For
the past years, Kodak’s healthcare & imaging arm
has been the world’s leader in health imaging, supplying
film to hospitals for mammography use. Timely mammography
and monthly self-examinations give women the chance to detect
cancer early.
From
film to donation cans
Aside
from the film used for mammography tests, Kodak takes its
commitment further as it unveiled donation cans—featuring
pictures of some survivors of breast cancer—that are
deployed in its Kodak Express Stores nationwide.
All
proceeds will go to the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care
Inc to help the Breast Care Center-East Avenue Medical Center
(BCC-EAMC) and the MammoCare Unit of BCC-EAMC in the hopes
of decreasing the growing number of deaths caused by breast
cancer.
